Spring—as they say—has sprung!
MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE APARTMENT HOUSE….!
Sings of spring are everywhere,
The sounds of laughter there…
From benches once covered
In snow and smothered,
With storm damage strewn everywhere!
Gazebos flanked with narciussus
Smiling as if they did miss us…
Parade before us,
The smell of mown lawn is delicious!
New mulch is shoveled and laid
In beds for a floral parade…
The ceramic frog grins,
Resplendent in flowering tree shade!
Mourning doves coo from woods,
Bursting wirth flavorful goods…
Breakfast in beds
With fried fiddleheads
And day lily bulbs, if you would.
Why folks shut up their cars,
Inside temperatures like on Mars…
Those windows if hoping
To keep solid spare candy bars!
Apartment windows to be cleaned
By strong-muscled women who seemed…
To need a winch
To move frames an inch,
But avoid knuckles getting creamed.
